Copyright: Ahmet Söylemezoğlu A large volume of infrastructure has been built based on the Public-Private-Partnership (PPPI) model in many countries. These projects offer important lessons and insights about this model. Among the many countries which have used the PPPI instrument, Turkey has a distinct place as it relied on the PPPI model heavily, perhaps more than any other emerging market and/or middle income country. Turkish experience is noteworthy not only in terms of its volume but also in terms of its breadth as Turkish PPPI projects spreads virtually over all sectors. This blog after some remarks about the PPPI projects and some of the pitfalls associated with them provides a comparative picture of the scale of PPPI projects in Turkey with those of in China, India Brazil, Indonesia, Philippines, Mexico, Thailand and Malaysia. Son yirmi yılda geleneksel olarak kamu tarafından yapılan ve yönetilen hizmetlerde özel sektör bir hayli ön plana çıktı.  Özel sektör yollar, köprüler, tüneller, santrallar, hastaneler yaptı ve işletmelerini de üstlendi.  Bunlara ilaveten enerji dağıtım ve telekomünikasyon gibi kamu sahipliğindeki bazı hizmetler tüm varlıklarıyla birlikte özel sektör işletmelerine devredildi.  Bu işlemlerin sonucunda esasen kamu hizmeti olan birçok hizmet özel sektör vasıtası ile sunulmaya başlandı. Bu yapılanlara Kamu-Özel Sektör İş Birliği (Public Private Partnership in Infrastructure) deniliyor ve sıklıkla da İngilizce kısaltması PPPI ile anılıyor.  PPPI sadece bizim ülkemizde olan bir hadise değil.
